THE MILL HILL ‘FORCE’ IN CAMEROON MAGNETS AGAIN: NJINIKOM GETS ANOTHER PRIEST.

St Anthony’s parish Njinikom has produced another Mill Hill priest. Rev Fr Linus Kang was ordained Saturday June 15 by Bishop George Nkuo.
During the pontifical high mass, Bishop George Nkuo expressed joy that just after two years, he was back at his home parish for another ordination, saying the Mill Hill has found fertile ground for vocations in Njinikom. Christened, priest of the new covenant, Rev Linus Kang was challenged to enforce the universal law of love and to love just every one even those who had blocked the bishop and others like the Mill Hill superior at Baingo for hours, almost thwarting the ordination. He was asked to be ready to suffer and not to fear because the church in Njinikom that has been for over a century shall always pray for him.
FR LINUS DURING LITANY OF SAINTS

In the presence of the Christian community, Rev Linus vowed to preach the gospel and the catholic faith resolving to be like Jesus Christ founder of Christianity.
Speaking at the close of the event, Rev Fr Richard Njoroge, superior general Mill Hill Cameroon said the ordination of Rev Linus Kang bears testimony of the growth of the church in Njinikom and the entire dioceses.”As 3rd Mill Hill priest from Njinikom, it is true that the parish has now mature and now is sending missionaries to the world” he said.
The vice president of the Njinikom parish pastoral council, Chiabi Lawrence congratulated the kangsons family for offering their son to serve in the lords vine yard reminding Rev Linus kang that the laying of hands on him signifies that he is now a priest forever in the ranks of milkisideck.
Rev Fr Linus Kand, standing at the same alter he had served as alter server years before answering the call to priesthood publicly took a commitment with his entire Christian community.”I want t promise you all my parents and brothers and sisters that I will be a good priest” he said.


Rev Linus Kang now joins the ranks of Rev Anthony Ndang Ndichia, Rev Ignatius Nshing all from Njinikom, Rev Cryprain Tah from Fundong Parish, Rev Joseph King From Fuantui, Rev John Paul Bangsi from Ilung Quassi Parish, Rev Suh Elvis From Fundong And Rev Alexanda Kimbi From Mbessa, all Mill Hill priest from the Njinikom deanery serving as missionaries across the worlds.Rev Linus Kang shall serve as missionary priest in the arch dioceses of Juba south Sudan. According to the mill hill superior, Rev Richard Njoroge” you will move from one ground zero to another. You will be an instrument of peace and love to people who have not known peace for ages. You will be a Sheppard, the Sheppard who can small his sheep always “he said.

It was also another opportunity for the Mill hill superior to announce that come November 2019, Deacon Leonard Djam shall be ordained priest still in Njinikom bringing the number of mill hill priest from Njinikom to 4
THE RENEWED CATHOLIC FAITH IN ATUILAH
Geography and destiny could have brought the Catholic Church and the parish close to Atuilah quarter in Njinikom, but over the years, the Christians of Atuilah seems to have grown in faith from generation to another. This is clear prove as the numbers of priest continue to swell recently. Recently it was the ordination of Rev Fr Ferdinand Fumbui-diocesan, now Rev Fr Linus kang and in November it will be rev Fr Leonard Djam. Still on the pipeline is Chibeh Macelinus Chia, Ndi Derrick Ngong(FMS) and a host of others still from Atuilah.

WHO IS REV KANG LINUS
Reverend Kang Linus was born into the Kangson’s family to Mama Nambu Theresia on January 23, 1989 in Atuilah -Njinikom Subdivision in the North West Region of Cameroon. He is the last child in the family of five - 3 boys and one girl. His faith journey began at St Anthony’s Parish Njinikom, where he was Baptized on March 27, 1993, received his First Holy Communion on August 9, 1997 and was confirmed on May 15, 2001.
He did his primary education in Saint Anthony’s Catholic School Njinikom where, in 2002, he obtained both the First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) and a certificate in Religious Studies. Upon passing the Common Entrance Examination, he got admitted to the then Government Secondary School (GSS)Njinikom, now Government High School (GHS)where he spent four years - from 2002 to 2006. In September of 2006, he went on to continue his studies at Government Bilingual High School (GBHS) Fundong, where he excelled in the General Certificate of Education (GCE), both at the Ordinary and Advance level.


CONSECREATION

Thereafter, in 2009, he began his formation to become a missionary priest in Saint Joseph’s Missionary Society commonly known as Mill Hill Missionaries. What would be a 10-year journey of formation, started with one year of basic formation at Saint Joseph’s Formation Centre, Foncha Street in Bamenda-Cameroon, followed by three years of Philosophical Studies at St Thomas Aquinas Major Seminary, Bambui-Cameroon where he obtained a degree in philosophy from Pontifical Urbaniana University Rome, Italy in 2012. That same year, on March 19, he committed himself through Temporary Oath to the Mill Hill Missionaries in a ceremony at St John’s Catholic Church, Foncha Street, Bamenda. Linus was then sent to Kenya to continue his formation at St Joseph Formation Centre, Nairobi. While there, he pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Sacred Theology at Tangaza University College, a Constituent College of Catholic University of Eastern Africa. After an initial two years of theological studies, in 2015, he was sent to Pakistan fora two-year long Missionary Experience Program during which time he engaged in a Tribal apostolate amongst the poor and marginalized Kutchi Kholi of TandoAllahyar Sindh Pakistan.
REV LEONARD DJAM,NEXT ON THE LIST
After a discerning period in Pakistan, Linus returned to Nairobi in 2017 where he continued the pursuit of his Theological studies. On September 14, 2018, he made his Perpetual Oath, thus becoming aPerpetual Member of St Joseph Missionary Society, and was ordained deacon the day after (that is, September 15, 2019) at Holy Family Catholic Parish, Utawala–Nairobiby Rt. Rev. Maurice Crowley.
Reverend Kang is grateful to so many people who have helped form him, most especially his loving mother whom he adores so much, his siblings and the entire Kangson’s family as well as the entire Christian community of Njinikom, the Christians of Saint John the Baptist parish Tando Allahyar Pakistan, Christ the King parish Kibera and St Joseph and Mary parish Shaurimoyo Nairobi where he did his diaconate ministry. 
Reverend Kang Linus is very friendly and passionate in missionary activities; he loves sports especially volleyball and has a great sense of humor. His simple lifestyle has always been a special grace through which he makes the kingdom of God present wherever sent. He is a good counselor and relates well with people of every race with his gentle and peaceful smile
