  DCM   AMERICAN EMBASSY CAMEROON The deputy chief of missions (DCM) at the American embassy in Cameroon has described the Bokoharam insurgency in Cameroon as a dark cloud that will soon be frustrated by the Cameroonian youths and civil society organizations through youth awareness and continual education. TEAM CAPTAIN NCHAM HENRY LIFTS TROPHY The third edition of Mayor Terence Chah Bams tournament came to a close Saturday august 29 th at the Njinikom municipal stadium in a grand finals match pitting Atuilah fc and wombong united. Atuilah fc defeated wombong united 4-3 through post match penalty shootout after 120 minutes of battle. The match that was watched by more than five thousand spectators was presided at by the DO for njinikom, Justin Bongtang. Speaking at the close of the thrilling and mouth watering encounter was mayor Trence chah bam who enjoined the youths of Njinikom to be focused as they returned to school, shy away from manipulation and not to sympathise with the Bokharam insurgency that has keep the entire nation on alert.   BARISTER HONORE AJUO NGAM According to a latest decision signed by the president of the bar council of Cameroon appointing officials of the human rights commission of the bar council, Barrister Honore Ajuo Ngam is the lone advocate from the north west region that have been appointed into the special commission to advice the bar council and its president on human rights issues at regional and national level. The decision signed by Me J. Ngnie Kamga, president of the bar council names barrister Honore Ajuo Ngam member of an eleven man committee with regional representation. The committee will have as a major function to monitor and follow up the promotion and protection of human rights and advise the bar council and the Batonair on issues of human rights. This will enable the bar council to report extensively on human rights in Cameroon. Councillors Protest Indiscriminate Land Reclamation

                                                 FRU NDI LEADS STRIKE ACTION Councillors and Grand Councillors of Bamenda II & III Councils have protested what they described as indiscriminate land reclamation in the city. The protest, led by the National Chairman of the Social Democratic Front, SDF, the Mayors of Bamenda II &III Councils and Councillors escalated on Monday, August 17, when the protestors stormed a construction site at Mile Four, contesting the use of a parcel of land by Fokou Company, located along the Bamenda-Bambui Highway. The protesters carried placards with messages like; “We say no! to the reclamation of marshy lands in Bamenda”, “No to the issuance of building permits on marshy lands,” and so on. The Mayor of Bamenda III Council told reporters that they are protesting against the non-respect of Land Tenure Laws, which forbid anyone from building on marshy areas.
